I'll follow you out to the park at dusk
knee deep in snow, imagine us
in the old neighborhood
in a past life
the footprints that lead out
to the middle of nowhere and disappear
it takes time to find out
what's keeping you here
it's a brief world we're falling through
it's a brief world we're falling through
and I can't help but fall into you
it's a brief world we're falling through
I need you now
more than you know
so take my hand
and don't let go
on our backs under swaying limbs
icicles and dead hymns
whisper in our ears
blowing in the clear air
it's a brief world we're falling through
it's a brief world we're falling through
and I can't help but fall into you
it's a brief world we're falling through
I need you now
more than you know
so take my hand
and don't let go

Well... Like some people here, I never really liked that song! However, this is *so* much better than the original, for all the reasons already listed by deluded_marxist! The depth of feelings here, especially from the vocals but also the slow music, really is on a whole other level! Thanks to Tara Tantrum for taking me here! Highly recommended!!! bmurator
New on the excellent label AVANT!, the debut from Plastic Estate is irresistibly shadowy goth pop with dark majesty & grandeur. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 9, 2022
Memories and Comeback Kid were my first introduction to this band. From then on - I've always gone to the Midnight for easy listening. Waiting for a bus - Standing in line - Going grocery shopping and pretty much everywhere and anywhere. You can listen to this track over and over again and I feel like it doesn't get old. solstra
