holy, when you lay your hands upon me
in the doorway to heaven, in the neon light
holy, when you wrap your arms around me
and we might not get to heaven, it'll be alright
but I can’t stop losing you
I can’t stop the hurt
I can’t stop losing you
I can’t stop...
what hope is left for us now?
you keep telling me, gonna make it somehow
even empires fall
to the ground
holy, I want to feel a higher heaven
but the tears fall around me, and the days go by
holy, you can wear your arms around me
and I’ll tell you all about it in the daylight
but I can’t stop losing you
I can’t stop the hurt
I can’t stop losing you
I can’t stop...
what hope is left for us now?
you keep telling me, gonna make it somehow
even empires fall
to the ground
if I can feel your heartbeat
if I can know your mind
if I can halt your retreat
for just a moment in time...
if your heart has spoken
if you can never look back
if our bond is broken
red rose turned black…
what hope is left for us now?
you keep telling me, gonna make it somehow
even empires fall
to the ground
Well... Like some people here, I never really liked that song! However, this is *so* much better than the original, for all the reasons already listed by deluded_marxist! The depth of feelings here, especially from the vocals but also the slow music, really is on a whole other level! Thanks to Tara Tantrum for taking me here! Highly recommended!!! bmurator
Shoegaze ist die Kunst des Dröhnens, doch „Everything Is Alive“ setzt diese Elemente nur sparsam ein. Statt Hall- und Zerr-Sounds aufzutürmen, schäumt die Musik in feinen Bläschen über.

New on the excellent label AVANT!, the debut from Plastic Estate is irresistibly shadowy goth pop with dark majesty & grandeur. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 9, 2022
Memories and Comeback Kid were my first introduction to this band. From then on - I've always gone to the Midnight for easy listening. Waiting for a bus - Standing in line - Going grocery shopping and pretty much everywhere and anywhere. You can listen to this track over and over again and I feel like it doesn't get old. solstra
