I do, do not, don't want to let go
but you're pulling me under and I can't keep my head afloat
I can, cannot, can't give what I don't got
if we don't got love then we got nowhere left to go
tangled memories
I can't forget this year I let
you slip through my fingers, I was pushing you away
I give, I take, I bend, and I break
if it's already over I won't beg for you to stay
tangled memories
I can’t get out of my head
I can’t run from the weight of the things you said
I can’t hide from the light and the things I’ve done
I keep fighting but all that I had is gone
and I lost myself...

Well... Like some people here, I never really liked that song! However, this is *so* much better than the original, for all the reasons already listed by deluded_marxist! The depth of feelings here, especially from the vocals but also the slow music, really is on a whole other level! Thanks to Tara Tantrum for taking me here! Highly recommended!!! bmurator

Shoegaze ist die Kunst des Dröhnens, doch „Everything Is Alive“ setzt diese Elemente nur sparsam ein. Statt Hall- und Zerr-Sounds aufzutürmen, schäumt die Musik in feinen Bläschen über.

New on the excellent label AVANT!, the debut from Plastic Estate is irresistibly shadowy goth pop with dark majesty & grandeur. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 9, 2022

Memories and Comeback Kid were my first introduction to this band. From then on - I've always gone to the Midnight for easy listening. Waiting for a bus - Standing in line - Going grocery shopping and pretty much everywhere and anywhere. You can listen to this track over and over again and I feel like it doesn't get old. solstra
