killing time
or is it time that’s killing me?
in the dusty sun
I could drink until I’m free
when it’s all done
in the daylight, chalk and bone
I was graceful
like a falling heavy stone
white light, white wine
(I can’t be a part of you)
I never wanted this for you
(I can’t be apart from you)
let my light shine
(I can’t be a part of you)
I don’t know how to get to you
(I can’t be apart from you)
as you’re leaving
shut the door and leave the keys
under the carpet
worn as thin as memories
with all our patterns
from what I’ve come to love and lost
paper lanterns
crushed and swallowed by the frost
white light, white wine
(I can’t be a part of you)
I never wanted this for you
(I can’t be apart from you)
let my light shine
(I can’t be a part of you)
I don’t know how to get to you
(I can’t be apart from you)
killing time
or is it time that’s killing me?
in the dusty sun
I could drink until I’m free
when it’s all done
in the daylight, chalk and bone
I was graceful
like a falling heavy stone
Memories and Comeback Kid were my first introduction to this band. From then on - I've always gone to the Midnight for easy listening. Waiting for a bus - Standing in line - Going grocery shopping and pretty much everywhere and anywhere. You can listen to this track over and over again and I feel like it doesn't get old. solstra
Shoegaze ist die Kunst des Dröhnens, doch „Everything Is Alive“ setzt diese Elemente nur sparsam ein. Statt Hall- und Zerr-Sounds aufzutürmen, schäumt die Musik in feinen Bläschen über.

Well... Like some people here, I never really liked that song! However, this is *so* much better than the original, for all the reasons already listed by deluded_marxist! The depth of feelings here, especially from the vocals but also the slow music, really is on a whole other level! Thanks to Tara Tantrum for taking me here! Highly recommended!!! bmurator
New on the excellent label AVANT!, the debut from Plastic Estate is irresistibly shadowy goth pop with dark majesty & grandeur. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 9, 2022
